As many of you know, I am working with agents to put together a pitch package for LIES WITHIN, which involves redrawing the first 30 pages of the comic, as well as making some additional character drawings and lore write-ups. I want to have this finished by the end of March, ideally, so that we can start taking the pitch around to publishers in the hopes of getting LIES WITHIN turned into a real deal book that bookstores sell!

This is a HUGE step forward in my career, as up until now I've just sort of done my own thing with LIES WITHIN as a webcomic. To make it a book will require a lot of work that I am very much looking forward to. (In case you missed it, here are thumbnails revisiting the first 10 pages!)

I currently feel like I'm spinning a lot of plates , and at this moment the best thing for me to do is put my focus into 1) getting this pitch together, and 2) keeping on top of exclusive Patreon content. 

This means that LIES WITHIN the webcomic will be taking a hiatus for the first half of 2025 while I work on the pitch, work on exclusive Patreon stuff, and operate my sticker shop. I hate to leave you all at this point, what with every character in the middle of some sort of cliffhanger conflict, but I worry that a big reason that my productivity has tanked lately is because I've felt overwhelmed by so many things I want to do, I don't end up actually doing any of them. Thank you so much for understanding.

That said, I will be endeavouring to replace that weekly comic post with a weekly Patreon post available to all paid tiers, from $1-$10, with my progress on the pitch. This means all paid members will get to see snippets of the fresh coat of paint I'm putting on the pages, as well as additional commentary and thoughts I have as I go back in time to the earliest days of writing LIES WITHIN.
